The Caleidoscope
Synonym of sobriety, stillness, sense of freedom and simplicity, the mountains are a place where we go to seek reconnection, energy expansion, state of harmony, balance, joy.
An overwhelming sensation of liberty and vulnerability.
That’s why the most intuitive idea for this project was designing a shelter. A primitive, organic and natural shelter.
To complement this state of joy we added colors.
In some ancient traditions, colors enhance our experience of the beauty. Colors can manipulate and change our state of mind, and since each one of us has its own way to see and perceive the different life experiences, we create the Caleidoscope.
The kaleidoscope, the object, translates the idea of something inside which is complete unknow to the outside.
When you’re inside your perception of the outside changes. It becomes private, unique. Each guest will live a different experience in the Caleidoscope.
The structure, composed of curved, organic lines through a colorfull dance is drained by the mountain. And it becomes the mountain itself.
It is naturally protected from the cold in the winter and the hot in the summer. Like a modern cave.
On the top of everything, the short and long stay residences are there to safeguard, like a hidden spy trying to see through the hotel the irresistible landscape.
